Cajun & Creole Inspired Waterfront Dining

Madisonville, LA – Waterstreet Bistro may not be in Cajun country, but their Creole & Cajun inspired food is spot on.

Last night before enjoying perfectly grilled shrimp and sautéed fresh vegetables, we savored their perfectly seasoned gumbo, boasting an impressive dark roux, shrimp, crab, andouille sausage, and okra.

This relaxed and romantic bistro resides on the Tchefuncte River in a charming 1840’s home, complete with an elevated front porch, shiplap walls, and a beautiful wood bar with a story of its own.

Whether stopping by for a midweek lunch, a lovely romantic dinner, or our favorite…Sunday family brunch, you are sure to be delighted. If you love French Toast, you have to try theirs!

As they say, “a picture is with a thousand words,” and these captured smiles attest to our years of mini road trips to Madisonville and dining pleasure at Waterstreet Bistro.

At the time of this post, they can be found on their Facebook Business page, but they did not have a separate website. To view their menu and contact information, click here for their Google Business page.

One final note, reservations are not required, but highly recommend.

Bon appetit, Hope Maria
